يحكى أن رجلاً كان يتمشى في أدغال افريقيا حيث الطبيعة الخلابة وحيث تنبت الأشجار الطويلة بحكم موقعها على خط الإستواء ، وكان هذا الرجل يتمتع بمنظر الاشجار وهي تحجب أشعة الشمس من شدة كثافتها ، وكان صاحبنا يستمتع بتغريد العصافير ويستنشق بعمق شذى عبير الزهور الذي كانت تفوح منه الروائح الذكية ..
وبينما هو مستمتع بهذه المناظر الخلابة سمع صوت عدوّ سريع والصوت في ازدياد ووضوح ، والتفت الرجل إلى الخلف وإذا به يرى أسداً ضخم الجثة منطلقاً بسرعة خيالية نحوه ، ومن شدة الجوع الذي ألّم بالأسد كان خصره ضامر بشكل واضح وهو يبحث عن شيء يسد به رمقه !!
أخذ الرجل يجري بسرعة والأسد وراءه ، وعندما أخذ الأسد يقترب منه ، رأى الرجل بئراً قديمة فقفز قفزة قوية فإذا هو في البئر وأمسك بحبل البئر الذي يسحب به الماء ، وأخذ الرجل يتمرجح داخل البئر وعندما أخذ أنفاسه وهدأ روعه وسكن زئير الأسد وإذا به يسمع صوت فحيح ثعبان ضخم الرأس عريض الطول بجوف هذا البئر وفيما هو يفكر بطريقة يتخلص منها من الأسد والثعبان إذا بفأرين أسود والآخر كان أبيض اللون يصعدان إلى أعلى الحبل وبدءا يقرضان الحبل وتهلع الرجل خوفاً وأخذ يهز الحبل بيديه بغية أن يذهب الفأران وأخذ يزيد عملية الهز حتى أصبح يتمرجح يميناً وشمالاً بداخل هذه البئر السحيقة ، وبينما هو كذلك إذا به يصطدم بشيء رطب ولزج ضربه بمرفقه ليكتشف بعدها أنه عسل النحل التي تبني بيوتها في الجبال وعلى الأشجار وكذلك في الكهوف ، فأخذ الرجل يتذوق هذا العسل اللذيذ فأخذ منه لعقة وأتبعها بثانية وثالثة وهكذا .. ومن شدة حلاوة العسل نسي صاحبنا الموقف الذي هو فيه وفجأة استيقظ الرجل من النوم فقد كان حلماً مزعجاً وفظيعاً ..
بعدها قرر الرجل الذهاب إلى شخص يساعده على تفسير هذا الحلم فتوجه إلى أحد الشيوخ وأخبره بهذا الحلم فضحك الشيخ وقال له .. ألأم تعرف ما تفسيره ؟؟ قال الرجل : لا .. أخبرني ..
قاله له الشيخ : الأسد الذي كان يجري ورائك هو ملك الموت الذي يلاحقك وينتظر خروجك والبئر التي وقعت فيها وبها الثعبان هي قبرك أما الحبل الذ تعلقت فيه فهو عمــرك ، أما الفأرين الأبيض والأسود فهما الليل والنهار اللذان يقصان من عمرك شيئاً فشيئاً ...!!
قال الرجل : والعســــل يا شيـــخ ؟؟!؟
قال الشيخ : هو الدنيـــا ومن حلاوتهــــــا نسيت أن ورائك موت وحساب !!
